Good Morning, Possums and Happy Saturday. Only 8 days until Christmas day. I took a few days off from posting, I did. Just taking a little holiday break. My shopping has been done and all my gifts have arrived. It's just a matter of bagging and tagging and delivering a few.

My first week at home has been very good. There were a few challenges the first day or two - learning how to navigate my childhood home in a wheelchair was a little dicey and frustrating at first. I think, the first day or two, I said the same expletive so many times that it lost all meaning.....and a little fun. But now, I have it down. I can roll where I like/need to with no issues (and no expletives).

Dad had his surgery on Thursday and everything went well. On Friday, you would never know he had it at all. My brother has (knee) surgery next Tuesday. It's a Medical Merry Christmas on Creekwood this year.

I had a great visit with my Carolina Girls yesterday - Tricia Sluder Witherspoon and Laura Walden Reister. They were gracious enough to come over and hang out with me for a while. I think we got caught up. COVID screwed up our yearly Christmas visits for the last few years so it was GREAT to finally get together again.

While I (mostly) kept to my chair the first two days, on Thursday my legs became more useful (and compliant). And today they are even more so. Yesterday I used my walker to get around the majority of the day - not my wheelchair. Granted, I'm not very graceful, but still, my legs are working better than they have in months.

I don't think it can be the new treatment. I just started it on Wednesday. It's too early. Maybe it's the steroids - those god-awful, yet incredibly effective, steroids. Something is going on in my body. I don't know what but I just hope it continues. I guess I will find out on 1/5/23 - my next appointment with my neurologist.

Now - if I can get passed the nausea from the treatment, well, that would be great!

I suppose I should do a little bagging and tagging this morning, I should. This afternoon, I have a card game too loose to some friends coming over - I never win but it is still a lot of fun.

KUDOS to my Dallas Titans for delivering all of our gifts to our two adopted hospital families yesterday. GREAT JOB, TITANS.
