Happy Weekend, everyone. It’s day one of a three-day weekend. That does not suck! Sadly, I’ve been wide awake since 3am. I definitely see an afternoon nap in my future.
PLEX went well, yesterday. I slept through the entire thing. They literally woke me up when they were removing the line from my port and my arm. But I did manage to get in some good visits with my nurse family before I dozed off.
I had 19 people apply for my personal assistant position and I have narrowed it down to four. This weekend and next week I will be interviewing and possibly meeting them in person before making a final decision. I have been trying to come up with a set schedule each week of what I would like them to do - laundry, cleaning, meal prep, grocery shopping, errands, taking me to appointments - all of those things. I keep thinking I have left something off my list, but it will come to me.
My legs are slightly better after PLEX yesterday but honestly, it just feels like they are both giving up. I have accepted the fact that I will more than likely be in his wheelchair for the rest of my life, but I will continue to fight to make these pins of mine do what I need them to do. Man, MS just sucks. I don’t recommend getting it. Get something else if you MUST get something. LOL
But like I said, I am playing the cards I have been dealt. I may not have gotten the cards I wanted, but it can still be a wining hand if I think about how to play it - wisely, thoughtfully, not too seriously and don’t beat myself up about asking for help.
Some may mistake my independence as stubbornness or being bossy. But I don’t see it that way. Yes, I am very independent, but I am not bossy. My ideas are just better! LMAO
Today’s agenda - a trip to the Boardroom later this morning and a nap at some point. What’s on your schedule today / this weekend?
