Realizing you can no longer do something because of your age, mental condition, illness or skill set can be a punch in the gut. It was for me on Saturday. In my case, MS has taken something else away from me.
I tried to drive to meet some friends Saturday around noon, but I quickly learned that for now, driving is no longer an option for me. I did not have an accident or anything. Since my MS diagnosis, my left leg has always been the leg that never wanted to cooperate. Well, my right leg is starting to follow suit. I quickly turned around and parked my car and called for an Uber.
Gut punch! Smack down!
I still try too use my roller/walker around the house, but my chair is becoming more of my mode of transportation. I have hope that this will get better - to the point where I can drive again, but for now, I’ll just give my car a rest.
I’m going to save a ton on gas and car insurance - LOL
Not too much going on today (that I know of). Just prepping for the week ahead. It’s only a four-day work week but I need to cram about ten days into it.
Anyhoozle, what do you have planned for today?
I wish you and everyone around you a SPECTACULAR day. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of nice people. If you can’t find one, be one! HAPPY 4th of July!!!
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
