Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Thursday, May 5. It looks like thunderstorms most of the day today with a high of 76.
Happy Birthday to:
Gail Bellen
Chris Matthews
JP Cano
Happy Friday Eve. My week has been moving at a snail’s pace but I do see the light of the weekend starting to shine through. Yesterday turned out to be pretty busy - meetings and whatnot - but I’m good with that.
After my conversation with my neurologist on Tuesday, I had couldn't stop thinking about having/getting chemotherapy - still can’t. I can handle the being sick part and possibly losing some weight, but what really concerns me is the possibility of hair loss - LOL.
Thank you, I’ll be here all week!
But seriously, all that does concern me, but I had some other questions as well:
#1) when would I start this chemo treatment?
#2) how many rounds would I have?
#3) are there any possible side effects from this treatment?
#4) is it possible to do it sooner rather than later? I know that sounds a bit selfish (and so does this) - I am taking my birthday vacation 7/13-7/18.
You don’t ask, you don’t know! I emailed all of this to her and I know she will get back with me very soon.
I am headed to the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort (hospital) for my plasma exchange in a few hours. (My usual Friday Celebrity time slot was taken but I get it back next week. I guess a celebrity with a higher profile (if that's even possible) needed it more). LOL
Just a few meetings this afternoon at work and then I am off to see the Broadway touring production of “Mean Girls” with my best gal pal, Sallie Ann Plaxico, and Shannon Brown and Timothy Thomas. Mom and Dad are on their own tonight.
Tonight will be the first time in my wheelchair at this venue. I’m always little nervous about that even though I know everything will be fine. So - another busy day!
What do you have going on today?
Anyhoozle, make it a SPECTACLAR and TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Do everything today with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. Be one of them! And as always:
...wear a mask (when appropriate)
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
