Good Morning, Possums, from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Saturday, March 12.
Happy Birthday to:
Rebecca Allen McChesney
John Berry
Scott Cessac
It’s the weekend and it is chilly. It’s going to be sunny today with a high of 55 degrees and the Dallas St. Patty’s Parade and celebration is back. That’s on the other side of 75 - I’ll just be over here on this side (which won’t get rambunctious until much later).
PLEX yesterday was fine and quick. I had one of my favorite nurses Christopher. He knows I want to get hooked up and get going and we can talk after that human-sized slurpy machine gets going…and that’s exactly what he did. I was out of there before 3pm - AND - my body behaved but I was wiped out as usual.
I think they (UTSW) have decided to take this catheter out of my chest and put in a permanent port(s) - one in my chest and one in my arm. I will have this for the foreseeable future; well, until I (hopefully) get into the stem cell study. It’s outpatient surgery and I won’t be asleep, so not a big deal. That will happen in the next few weeks.
Not too much going today - some laundry, a few errands but that’s it. I feel like I should set aside some time for an afternoon nap and finish up planning for my birthday trip to NYC.
What do you have planned today/this weekend?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask when appropriate (CDC says they may not be necessary anymore - stay tuned)
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
