Take time to nurture your soul today, November 12th. It’s National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day which celebrates who you are and how you get there.

A little chicken soup does a lot of good. It’s warm and hearty. As you cup your hands around the bowl, the heat radiates into your body. The steam hits your face with a comforting aroma.

Similar to what chicken soup does for our bodies, the regular nurturing of our souls benefits our health. Whether you pick up a book, meditate or go for a long walk, reflect on who you are and your accomplishments and contributions. Take some time for you, which for some people is hard to do.

Happy National Chicken Soup for the Soul Day!

It’s Friday - YAY! The weekend is here. I will be heading to the UT Southwestern Spa and Resort (hospital) in a few hours for my plasma exchange and to get the dressing changed on my port. I cannot wait to get this dressing changed - it is more itchy than normal and driving me insane. When they remove the dressing and clean it, it feels so good. It’s not that exciting - but CHEESE AND CRACKERS it just feels good to have a clean dressing on it.

The Tinglemeter this morning is registering at not too terribly bad.

I was not planning to work AT ALL but something has come up that requires my attention. I have already adjusted my PTO to reclaim the time I already have worked and will be working today. Sadly, work is a bit stressful.

It will not be long now before I get to fly home for the holidays - four weeks from today, actually. I will be there for almost three weeks full of family, great food, visiting with my Creekwood neighbors, seeing old friends, watching horrible Christmas movies on Hallmark, playing cards and I cannot wait!

Until then, let’s get the weekend started. There’s three liters of fresh, frozen plasma with my name on it - oh, and Shang Chi comes out on Disney Plus today - AND the next episode of the Great British Baking Show is out today as well. If you are not watching the Great British Baking Show, shame on you.

What is on your schedule today / this weekend?

Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:

...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.
Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
