A Day in the Life of Multiple Sclerosis 110121

Good Morning from the Celebrity Suite of the Wyndemere Condominiums on Turtle Creek. Today is Monday, November 1.
Happy Birthday to:
Holiday Countdown:
24 Days until Thanksgiving
27 Days until Hanukkah
50 Days until Winter Solstice
54 Days until Christmas
55 Days until Kwanzaa
The holiday season warms up with National Cinnamon Day on November 1st. It’s the spice that ushers in a season while being versatile all year long.
What other spice flavors the holidays more than cinnamon? Not only does cinnamon’s warmth fills our homes with welcoming scents like no other, for generations, cinnamon elicits fond memories of holidays with family. It sweetens apple pies and is the base for pumpkin spice. And with a gentle touch, it kisses the snickerdoodle, too. We raise a toast with it on chilly evenings in frothy beverages and cinnamon preserves our bounty all season long.
I, myself, don’t mind a dash or two of cinnamon in my coffee in the morning in the winter / fall. I guess you could say it’s my ‘pumpkin spice.’
Happy National Cinnamon Day!

First - UGH! The Houston Cheatros won last night. Come on, Atlanta Braves!!!! You got this!
Second - Happy Monday and Happy November 1. Halloween is over (except for the bags of candy on the store shelves which are now half price……a friend told me) and we can move forward to Thanksgiving.
It’s time to kick off another work week and I don’t mind telling you - I am tired. I am tired of 2021. It has been a whirlwind, and at times, a hurricane and a shit storm (yes, I said a synonym for ‘poop’). It has been frustrating - filled with Covid, masks, hospital stays, treatments, plasma, steroids and stressful times at work.
However, it has also been filled with blessings in the form of friends and family. It has been sprinkled with understanding, acceptance, strength, patience, faith, hope, joy and an abundance of love.
As much as I would like to tell 2021 to ‘bite me,’ I can’t. Because #1, it’s not over - and #2 the good far outweighs the bad (though at times it may not have felt like it). Also, I only have 17 more days to work this year before my vacation begins. That, too, does not suck!
Lots of meetings on this sunny, warm day in Big D. But I hope to squeeze in some work between them. My MS symptoms seem to have calmed down their assault on my nerves and my body for the time being. I tell you what - plasma exchange is amazing. Also, disconnecting from work does wonders as well.
What is on your schedule today?
Anyhoozle, I hope you all have a wonderful day and whatever you do today and every day, do it with kindness in your heart. The world is full of kind people. If you can’t find one, be one! And as always:
...wear a mask
...be kind and compassionate to one another
...dance/sing/laugh it out. It might not help but it sure as hell couldn't hurt.

Peace, Love and Blessings to you all. -AJ
