Good Morning, Possums and Happy Hump Day. We have made it half way through the week. I woke up to rain and thunder around 3:45am and, while lovely as always, I really wanted to sleep. Oh well, maybe a nap later.

It’s been a busy week - a good week, but a busy one. Yesterday, I beautified myself ( as much as possible) at the Boardroom in the morning. Yesterday afternoon, I spent in audiology at UT Southwestern.

After 30 minutes of testing, it was determined that my hearing was fine…except for that ringing in my left ear. So, I am going to be fitted for a hearing aid in my left ear (only) to filter out the ringing- well, thats the plan. This will happen in November.

Mom and Dad made it home safely. I sure do enjoy when they are here and miss them when they aren’t. OK, Creekwood/York, keep an eye open them until I get home for the Holidays.

Good Morning, Possums and Happy Monday. Time to kick off another work week. I woke up to rain and thunder and a high in the 70’s today. Might we actually have a fall season with real fall temperatures this year?

It’s going to be a busy one full of board meetings, medical appointments, podcast recording, attending the theater and sadly, saying ‘goodbye’ to my mom and dad. They will be heading back home to SC. But I will see them again before too long when I head home for the holidays. We have had a great visit - accomplished a great deal of things and also spent time with my wonderful friends.

Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Saturday. I haven’t posted in a bit but I hope to turns things around here quickly.

Tomorrow is the first day is Fall and I hope all is well in your world. Things are good here. Mom and Dad arrived safely on Tuesday and we have been busy ever since - pop has fixed a few things around my condo and they have been out shopping here and there. It’s been so nice to have them here. As far as parents go, I know I hit the jackpot when God gave me mine. They head back to SC on Tuesday.

We have sailed through the middle of another month and we are well on the way to closing the third quarter and kicking off Q4 and its plethora of holiday extravaganzas.

Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Monday. I haven’t posted in a bit but I hope to turns things around here quickly.

I am still fighting through this MS-fatigue. I never thought I could feel like I have a negative amount of energy - except maybe when I was a few years younger and my friends and I returned from Halloween in New Orleans for several days….Good Times, but I digress.

I have fought through the fatigue as much as I can. I was out every day this weekend. Saturday, I went to a fundraiser for the Irving Schools Foundation (I am on the Board) which was fun. And yesterday, I hung out with my friends.

Sidebar - Jerry Jones, you screwed the pooch with that $240 million contract with Dak Prescott. I hope you kept the receipt. I could give a rats ass about the Cowboys but even I know that game yesterday SUCKED!

Mom and Dad arrive tomorrow for a visit. They will be here for a week. I am always glad to have them here.

Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Monday. I haven’t posted in a bit but last week was busy and exhausting, however, a great deal was accomplished and it was quite successful.

Between medical appointments (eye doctor, blood draws, PLEX)and some personal maintenance appointments, I was beat. It may not sound like a lot, but getting in and out of cars, loading and unloading a wheelchair (not to mention the time it takes to shower and get ready to go), it wares me out.

Luckily, I do not have to go back to the eye doctor for another year. And my PLEX (plasma exchange) onFriday only took 88 minutesThat’s right -I went in at 1pm and I was on my way home at 2:30pm. My nurse got me hooked up and got the blood and plasma flowing, cranked the machine to full speed and it was on.

My body COMPLETELY cooperated. The machine didn’t stop for anything (like it usually does). It drew my blood in, got rid of the tainted plasma, spun in the new plasma, heated it up and pushed it back to me…EASY PEASY!

GENERAL UPDATE

Still holding steady at my baseline - for the most part. My left leg has always been my ‘problem’ leg’ but now, my right leg seems to want to play that game as well. And it’s not my whole leg - it’s just from the knee down on both legs.

Also (and I don’t understand this one at all), meat (chicken, beef, fish) is not currently in my diet. I don’t like it and don’t have a taste for it. Viola (my assistant) is an excellent cook, but for the last two weeks, I have been steamed vegetables only - and I’m good with that. I hope it’s just a phase, but right now, meat just turns my stomach.
