Good Morning, Possums. Happy Thursday and Happy Friday Eve. The weekend approacheth.

Busy day ahead - grocery shopping, meal prep, leg /vein treatment - it might not seem like a lot but it all takes time - a little extra time in a wheel chair. But it will get done. I may even make it out this (late) afternoon / (early) evening to join my friends for a cocktail. Playing that one by ear.

GENERAL UPDATE

I am well after that stomach bug. My left leg is ‘functioning as designed’ but it can still be stubborn when it chooses. I am feeling good and ready for the weekend. I have nothing planned so we shall see what presents itself.

SOCIAL SECURITY - BIG UPDATE

When last I checked, my disability completion statuses were:

SSA Case Status - 85% Complete

Your medical review is complete. A representative in DALLAS TEXAS started a final review of your application on June 10, 2024. For most people, this review takes 2 to 4 weeks.

I will have an answer one way or another in another month. If the answer is no, then my attorney will start earning his money and start the appeal process and I will get ready for my hearing with the judge (and camera ready as well - the paparazzi will be everywhere - LOL).

KANKLE NEWS

Good Afternoon, Possums and Happy Monday. Another weekend has come and gone. We are nearly half way through June. It feels like the days, weeks, months and the year itself is picking up speed.

My weekend was rather low key. I was not able to have PLEX on Friday because I felt a little ‘off’ that morning with a stomach ache and a headache. I thought it would pass but it did not. Turns out, I had a stomach bug - lasted all weekend. Not sure I picked it up. No matter - I’m just more susceptible to picking up things since my immune system is being suppressed for the foreseeable future.

Just another blessing MS has bestowed upon me :)

It did, however, give me time to think to work on the new intro for our podcast, start plans to see people when I go home later this summer and start looking at weekends to go to NYC to be amazed by Audra McDonald in ’Gypsy’.

I know I have already said this but I have been looking for NYC and Broadway and then is it. Maybe my Queen, Judy Kuhn, will be in something as well. If not, no worries. There’s plenty to see.

GENERAL UPDATE

I am well after that stomach bug. But as soon as it started, my left leg began to not want to listen to the signals I though my brain was sending. Turns out, NO. However, I am feeling good and ready for the week ahead.

Happy Birthday to:

Good Morning, Possums and Happy Sunday. Well, that weekend has come and gone. I’m not sure we even had one. No matter. Time to prepare for the week ahead.

I finally got out of the house on Friday for a bit and enjoyed the sun and all its glory (short-lived as it was). It was cloudy and rainy yesterday. But that’s OK. I was fighting a little MS fatigue, well, I was not fighting it so-much-as I succumbed to it’s enticing lure - LOL.

I received an email from the airline informing me that my fight home had been changed. I hate when they do that. But it’s OK. While I want to be home for mom’s birthday (and I will) I completely neglected to check my calendar for other commitments and appointments I had here. I blame 'MS Cog Fog' (it's a thing - google it). Needless to say, I think I have found two good weeks where I can be at home without missing any (necessary) treatments or commitments.

In one more week, the Social Security Administration will have had my file/case to review for 14 months. The progress meter online (when I check) says the review is 85% complete. I know they are busy and I am Not their only client/customer - but what a downer.

I have been and shall be patient. I have a few things to look forward to - #1) going home for two weeks, #2) The Real Housewives of Dubai begins TONIGHT and not next Sunday as I thought and #3) The reason for my next trip to NYC has presented itself - Audra McDonald (6-time Tony Winner) will be starring in “Gypsy” beginning this Fall. Judy Kuhn is still my #1 and my Queen (and Bestie) but Audra is #2.

GENERAL UPDATE

Battling fatigue, but feeling good and getting ready for the week ahead.

PODCAST

We are recording Episode #15 of our podcast, It’s Five O’clock Somewhere, Henny” tomorrow night. It will be available for consumption (downloads or viewing on Youtube) Wednesday or Thursday. I shall post is ready. Season One will come to a close on June 24. Only four more episodes before we break for the summer. We will return for Season Two on September 9, 2024.

MEDICALLY SPEAKING

Only one appointment this week - PLEX! It’s time to drain my blood, clean it and put it back. I meet with my neurologist at the end of June and I am ready to see what, if anything, is next or if we change anything regard my treatment.
